Sigil is probably my second most-used Eye Soot, right behind Incantation. The two have a similar effortless, everyday feel, but Sigil is a little lighter, softer, and more subtle on me.

What I love most is the sheen. It catches the light beautifully without looking glittery or frosty, giving my lids just enough dimension to make me look more awake and polished. It’s the kind of shade that works whether I’m wearing a full face of makeup or almost nothing at all.

Like the other Eye Soots, it’s incredibly easy to apply. I usually just tap it on with a finger and blend the edges. The result is a soft, lived-in eye look that never feels heavy or overdone.

This is one of those shades that doesn’t necessarily demand attention, but I find myself reaching for it again and again. It’s versatile, flattering, and somehow manages to make even a simple makeup day feel a little more special.

For years I defaulted to a popular "nude" Nars duo when I was not wearing more fierce eye makeup. It was discontinued long ago. Powder eyeshadow really ages me these days, even sheerly applied.

Sigil is a subtle shadow for white people. It allows me to wear eye makeup without looking 105 years old. Should it be ok to look 105 years old? YES. Do we live in that society? No.

I love the eye soots soooooo much. They are my favorite go to on a busy day when I don't have time to do anything complicated with my makeup. A simple swipe on my lids and done. I was using Anima for my go to everyday work eye soot but now a new contender has entered the chat. Sigil is in the same depth family as anima but is just a tad more gold. It's going to be tough trying to choose a favorite.
