This combination is the one I've been searching for

Oh. My. Gods. WHERE has Hornet been all my life?!? I really hope they bring this back permanently! I've tried so, so, SO many "contour/bronzer" products — including brands I paid way too much money for because they're so highly recommended (like Chanel) — and ALL of them were always too drying, and too orange OR too grey on my skin tone/undertone. For reference, I have cool-*ish* undertones on light skin, but they're not very pronounced and are actually olive-*ish* + cool (Italian + Scandinavian genes at work, and it's hard for me to color match as the summer goes on, but the 3 drop foundation in 120 or 125 work well when mixed or alone depending on season). ANYway: I can't pull off the fake tan look, but I do like to add a smidge of warmth and contour so the olive tones don't fight with the rest of me. I love the Eros Inner Glow Creme, but that's firmly in the bronzer category for me. Hornet, on the other hand, is the PERFECT (truly perfect) shade to straddle that contour/bronzer line for me, *especially* when combined with the Weeping Lilac as a blush. I really, really, reaaaaallly hope they bring this back, because I use this daily now. What's more, there's a quite range of less common skin tone/undertone combinations that this duo would work brilliantly on thanks to its cool-warm balance and interplay. This combo also came with a free mega sample of the Rare Light Creme Luminizer, so that was a treat! I didn't mean to write a novel of a review here but I'm just so glad to…

    Very 90s cool-tone duo

The combination of these two shades was perfect together for a 90s 'supermodel' cool tone duo, particularly when mixed or applied pretty much anywhere with a bushy brow. I'm lucky to have been gifted this set before it sold out!

    unique colors

These colors are unique in my collection, and I prefer to wear them on my lips (and sometimes eyes), as I find them a little sticky on my cheeks. RdF really has a knack for developing one-of-a-kind colors that I have a hard time finding with other brands. The formula is sheer and moisturizing.

    versatile duo

I liked this duo, although Hornet turns out to be a bit too cool for my skin tone- I used it as lipstick on a summer tan instead than a subtle wintery 90s eye shadow as I imagined.

    Amazing cool-toned neutrals

I'm not exactly sure how to describe the color payoff on these colors, but I know that I like it! I feel like a ethereal fairy snow queen in the muted glow of Hornet and Weeping Lilac. Hornet is esp great for contour for light-skinned folk—I tend to look ruddy with traditional contour and don't even get me started on bronzer. Weeping Lilac is particularly icy, like frost on spring wildflowers.
