The Phase 4 Collection
Crystalline Matter Eye Soot is our rarest formula, and is released in new shades only once a year. This Color Set contains all four shades of Phase 4; this is our most euphoric collection yet, capturing the tones of a magical dark forest.
These artisanal products are mixed and filled entirely by hand, and can only be made in extremely small quantities. Each color is created with love, passion and meticulous care to achieve unmatched complexity.
Crystalline Matter Eye Soot is the glitter of dreams: bright, dimensional, and utterly mesmerizing. We achieve this using only mineral pigments—no plastic-based glitters—to create remarkable sparkling finishes.
The Colors
Fire Opal begins as a soft peach, then dazzles with spring green shift and shimmer. It is delicate yet vibrant with great complexity to explore.
Moonstone creates a veil of shimmer in a radiant mauve shade with a platinum shift. This color is sophisticated and delicate, yet imparts a boldly glittering finish. (vegan shade)
Alexandrite is inspired by the color-changing qualities of the alexandrite stone. This shifting sage green reveals unexpected purple-mauve shimmer with incredible dimensionality.
Serpentine is the green of the deepest forest, the richest smoky shimmer. This shade is mysterious and mesmerizing, with lively dimension like the scales of a snake. (vegan shade)
PHASE 4 INGREDIENTS NOTE: Alexandrite contains Ferric Ferrocyanide, a beautiful blue pigment. Ferric Ferrocyanide is approved for use in the United States for eyes and face, but not lips. In the European Union, Ferric Ferrocyanide is approved for use on eyes, face and lips.

I looooove a flakey shadow and these do not disappoint. On my medium-tan olive toned skin they all turn up beautifully and maintain all the colour and dimension you see in the pots. Since I have moderately oily eye lids I simply powder first and then apply and I've had no issues so far with ~5 hours wear. Even if there's a bit of creasing I've been able to simply tap it out and tbh sometimes I think it kinda adds to the grungy ethereal vibe I tend to go for. Being a flakey formula I apply and blend with a finger and maybe blend lightly with a brush if I want more diffusion. Zero complaints!

I thought I loved the RDF eye soots, because my first one of these I just didn't catch on (was also more chunky). But I love how skimmery they are and had to get these-now they're my FAVORITE. Every color in this set is entirely different, I thought I'd like the peach one least but its so beautifully neutral. They are all amazing. Never pass these up!

I bought all 4 shades of the crystalline matter eye soots and love them all. For some reason moonstone seems to crease badly on my lids but I don't have any issues with other shades. Fire opal is a super wearable shade and is easily my favourite.

When I saw these, I HAD to have them! However, I was waiting on a cheque to clear in my account, and was broke until then. I put the whole set in my cart and crossed my fingers. When my money was finally accessible, the first thing I did was hop online and check out my cart. Unfortunately, every single jar was sold out by this point. I was so crushed! Earlier, I'd written an email to RDF customer care, begging them to hold the set in my cart for me, explaining that very soon, I would have enough to buy at least one of everything they had in stock, should I choose. When I didn't receive a reply, then the set in my cart disappeared, I wrote back, all butthurt. "Really, you guys? C'mon!" (I totally understand: first come first serve l, but I was weirdly overly emotional about this.)The response was "I can't say anything, but I suggest that you check your inbox, and the site, on [date] for a special release." Luckily, I did, and the whole set was available again! Along with other, earlier limited edition products I wasn't able to get at the time! I immediately scooped everything into my bag and checked out ASAP. They're GORGEOUS!!! I love flaky, crushy, emollient, shiny, glossy, wet-look duo/multichromatic formulae like this! So far, I've only dipped into Fire Opal, as I'm trying to use more of the RDF products I already have opened and used, before breaking ground on any more. These colors are truly fantastic. Serpentine and alexandrite are probably better suited for a night time look or an event, but moonstone and fire opal are both incredibly wearable for any time. All of these shades are truly so beautiful
