Each limited-edition shade in Chroma Obscura begins as a veil of sheer void-black, and reaches new dimensions with sparkling, pure iridescent color. These are glimmering lights in the darkness, at once nostalgic and futuristic—perfectly evocative of 90s goth, rave, and alt aesthetics. Each is composed in our deeply moisturizing Thorn Bite formula for cushiony, never-sticky, truly comfortable wear. 

Night Flower | To capture a true blood-red iridescence is a feat of alchemy. In a base of of translucent void black, this shade blooms with a glimmering, dimensional crimson. The effect is a secret inflorescence, an intoxicating mystery: a deep, sultry shade like a forbidden cordial, at once vampiric and impossibly glamorous. 

Night Bloom | Within a sheer black base, a dimensional glimmer reveals itself in a rich, plummy iridescence. This is where science fiction and fantasy meet: a shade evoking ancient magic within a sparkling nebula. This is a dramatic, deep-space aubergine that feels both profoundly futuristic and impossibly ancient.

    Amazing!

    I adore this set and brag it up to everyone! I do wish it lasted a bit longer and sometimes the scent is overwhelming, so I skip it. But the color and texture is amazing. Also so moisturizing.

    Unique color story that had a twist

    This was a really cool, unique color story for a wonderful cause. I love that all of the proceeds went to an LGBTQIA+ Organization which warms my heart. The color story was just the icing on the cake for me. I love that there was so much dimension to these lip oils, with the ability to be subtle or to be bold. The purple shade was really gorgeous, sheer, and the red shade was fun, but the shade that stole my heart was the green. I love the mossy tones mixed with the black base and green shimmer. I wore it on top of locust, and was given this poison ivy look if she were a goth. Overall,l this collection was a fun addition to my other lip oils, and I look forward to more shades and collections like this in the future

    Lip care that is dark and glorious

    The Thorn Bite line is delightful all the way through: an option for nourished, healthy lips that also provides glorious darkness and intrigue in colors and shimmer. The plum is great for my everyday looks, the black is a joy for dressier times, and the rose provides a passes-for-normal that nonetheless brings some ethereal intrigue. RdF's lip products are my favorites from this company, and this set was an excellent buy. (Now maybe a deep plum/purple lipstick with some shimmer...?)

    Night Flower is my favorite of the Thorn Bite Plump Crème Lip Oils.

    The red-black shade is rich and dramatic, with subtle flashes of light that give it a glamorous, mysterious, almost vampy vibe. It glides on smoothly, feels nourishing and plush, and wears beautifully. Moisturizing without a hint of stickiness—just pure, comfortable luxury: brava, RdF!
