We have created the ultimate round brush for applying Ash and Ember Eye Soot, developed specifically for this cult-favorite cream-to-powder formula. We used soft vegan bristles with an innovative natural texture in the ideal size and shape: substantial enough for easy full-lid color application, yet small enough for the inner eye and lower lid.

I'm usually a "fingers-only" girl when it comes to eye and cheek makeup application, but the eye soots are not designed for finger grabbing, haha. Especially if you have any nails. Sometimes I find brushes don't work well with textures and allowing the colors to come through, but this one's actually really well crafted and clearly designed for the eye soots because it grabs color well - pressure defines how much or how little you get onto the brush - and spreads it pretty evenly and smoothly. Might order a second brush, and now kind of hoping RdF releases other high quality and dense brushes for their other products (like a liner brush that works for the Kohl liner orbs!).
