I've never finished up a lipstick as quickly as this one. And that's not a jab at the product; the amount in the bullet is completely fine. But since purchasing it, it's become my favorite lipstick within days of wearing it. It's a perfect neutral pinky-brown, almost on the brick-toned side, but only as far as the brown goes; there's no orange. At least that's what I would describe it as on my very fair, neutral-toned skin. It adds a perfect contrast to basically any makeup look that I wear, whether it's a bold eye or just a bit of mascara and concealer. I've been searching for similar shades since shipping to Germany isn't particularly easy... but I gotta bite the bullet (I'll see myself out), there's none like this out there, I'm pretty sure.

I'm often hesitant to try lighter lip colors, since so many shades tend to read too pink or too peachy against my neutral-cool-leaning olive skin. However, thanks to the help of a color consultant at Rituel de Fille, I decided to try Cryptic, and I'm so impressed by the shade! It feels like a perfect neutral tone for days where I want to look a little more in the world of the living despite being sleep deprived, and it's a tiny miracle with how much of a difference this color makes. I like pairing it with a brown lip liner so the "wilted rose" feel shines.
