This is Amaranthine. This new limited-edition collection takes its name from a flower that never fades, and these shades hold that same magic: the cool glimmer of amethyst crystals still held under the earth, the wild blaze of liatris across undulating fields, the hush of dusk settling over wildflowers in eternal bloom. I was actually a little scared to get this particular color, in fear that it would be too much for me or just not look right, but surprisingly this is such a gorgeous shade, it is so subtle, but very ethereal and ghostly.

It is an interesting color in person, a grayish purple with glitter. I found it comfortable to wear on the lips. It complements the rest of the purple collection.

This feels good on the lips and has a rich pigment, but it doesn’t suit my complexion unfortunately. I will continue to experiment with other ways to use it (mixing with other lip products) to find a way to wear it. Good overall, just not for me.
