For my fellow victims of the "lippie" fad, this product has helped me narrow down my collection and appreciate the products that do it all.
This is a phenomenal formula, it does not break down over time, the color is beautiful and my lips stay hydrated for the entirety of my workday. Not having to layer several different balms/glosses/tints to get the same effect is a game changer!
The smell is herbal in nature and noticeable when first applied but quickly dissipates and leaves no taste.
The sheer-black has a permanent spot in my purse and I can't imagine life without it now.

The color is an absolute standout here. I expected a typical bitten sheer burgundy but it’s surprisingly muted compared to other in my collection.
The formula alone deserves a 5-star rating for how truly conditioning it is that I could use it as an overnight lip mask and wake up with soft supple lips. The spicy scent is noticeable, not pleasant but not unpleasant either. I don’t experience any tingling plumping effect at all though I personally don’t care for that result.
This is my favorite lip oil formula. The Black Thorn color provides a lovely sheer, black color, also looks beautiful as a topper over other lipsticks.
The Thorn Bite Peptide Plump Creme Lip Oils are now a staple in my makeup bag! This formula is so nourishing and leaves my lips feeling so comfortable. This is a big deal for me because most glosses and lip oils end up chapping my sensitive lips. Dark Thorn is a gorgeous dark purple color. I will be purchasing more shades soon!
This product changed my brain chemistry. I was very intimidated by the product photos, as I'm not really a big makeup person and typically don't wear any lip color at all. As someone with fair, cool-neutral(?) skin who's generally clueless about color, I hadn't found one that didn't make me look clownish. The photo reviews sold me on a sample (y'all look amazing!), and then I completely fell in love with the sample when it arrived. I placed an order for the full size as soon as I could and used up the whole sample while I was waiting!
The formula is lovely - really smooth and moisturizing without being sticky. Doesn't last particularly long, but that's typical for lip oils and probably a trade-off for not being thick and gluey. The packaging is high end. The color is MUCH more sheer irl than it appears in the product photos. It can build up, but I can't imagine getting it fully opaque. That's actually a pro in my book, because it gives me an extremely flattering plum tint that complements my blue eyes and pink skin so well.
Bonus that customer service is extremely helpful and sweet. They actually reached out to prevent (!) a problem with my first order, which I was impressed by.
I am now begging RdF to make matching lip liners 🙏🖤
