The formula wears comfortably. My thoughts on this shade are divided. It's quite pigmented and the color is beautiful. I've been playing around, trying it by itself and with lipsticks. My favorite so far is on top of concealer lips. That gives a grungy glossy look. It's not the most convenient shade of the lip oil for me because I'm very pale and I need a mirror to apply this shade because it's dark. I suppose that's to be expected, though.
This has become my new favorite shade from this line. I already have midnight glow and black thorn, but this one is easier to wear for everyday. I like sheering it out with a clear balm or gloss underneath for a "your lips but better" look, and it looks amazing full on as well.
The color is exquisite, and its application is remarkably smooth. The pigmentation is exceptional, allowing for a buildable intensity.
OMG, I have this lip oil in so many colors, but Black Thorn gets me the most compliments HANDS DOWN. It's sheer, but still shows up as a soft, smoky grey. It's not streaky and doesn't fade in a weird way at all. It's my ideal black lip, because I can comfortable add a full coverage lipstick under it if I'd like to go full goth, or I can just wear it as is if I'm feeling a little soft goth.
What can I say? This is just a gorgeous color and the formula is perfection!
Love using this to darken a lip combo and most of all to make it more COMFORTABLE. Hoooly shit. The peptide oils are a must-have imo if you want something soft and smooth to wear! No more lip balms that feel like old crayons or glosses that feel like sticky syrup. Now don’t get me wrong… your stray hair will stick to this, that’s how it goes, BUT it doesn’t stick to itself and is super hydrating! Love!
