  • The Color: Glistening, velvety red. The perfect red shadow, for those who seek it.
  • First Conjured: 2015, in Feral
  • Inspiration: Wolves in the snow

Inspiration | Feral Collection: A dense fog obscures the frozen landscape, revealing glimpses of the surroundings with each breath of the cold wind. Each slow, cloudy exhale dissipates into the surrounding whiteness. Footfalls on icy pine needles sound nearby with delicate shatters. Heart rate quickens. Muscles tense. Lips pull back to reveal sharp teeth. The predator advances, powdery snow shifting underfoot with every silent step. Viscera is a flash of warm, glistening red in the cold white snow.

How to Wear: Apply with The Eye Soot Brush or fingertips.

The Result: A multidimensional one-and-done shade that can be diffused out to a soft wash, or built up for bold color.

The Formula: Ash and Ember Eye Soot is one of our most magical creations: intense, smoldering, everlasting color with a rich texture between powder and cream. Each shade offers incredible complexity; you can create a whole eye look with just one jar.

Finish: Subtle shimmer

Texture: Rich, velvety, between a powder and cream

Aroma: Made without any added aromatic ingredients

Absolute fave red eyeshadow of ALL TIME!!!

I was on the hunt for a very specific shade of red eyeshadow when I stumbled upon this. It is everything I ever DREAMED of. The formula is super easy to apply with fingers for a super pigmented or messy look that can be easily blended, or as mentioned with a stiffer bristle brush. To do a red smokey eye, I used a dense, rounded pencil brush to sketch out the shape I wanted, and it was super easy to fill in the line I had made and buff it out and it looked SO good. A striking statement on its own, but I also tried a bright purple eyeshadow from one of my Viseart mini palettes (the yellow one?? I don't remember the name but the yellow shade also worked super well for this) in the corner to add a little more dimension to it, and it looked SO good. Added a little bit of Ara on the inner corner and browbone and it was everything I ever dreamed of. I definitely agree with some others that I wish the opening of the jar was larger, but I don't have long fingernails so it wasn't too much of a bother for me. ALSO a little bit of this goes a LONG way. I honestly am obsessed with this eyeshadow and find every excuse to put it on, even when I don't have anywhere to be.

    Strange beauty of Viscera

This color absolutely lived up to the hype, I am in love. I appreciate the tiny yet luxe packaging, and find that a clean ring finger tip is far superior to a brush, no matter how dense, for application. The color warms up well and moves exactly how I want it- intense dots and swipes that I can blend out for an allover wash of matte, almost under my skin flushing/bruising. When I wore this as eyeshadow the first time my partner said I looked strange, a little stoned, in a beautiful way- just the drama I was going for ;)

Highly pigmented, smooth application, versatile. I need a good eyeprimer to make it stay put longer as my lids get greasy and shadows tend to slip off, but lovely, moody, vampy shade.

    Gorgeous Red.

This is in my top ten shadows, and I own it in the original jar. It's dimensional, sultry yet bright, and is one of my favorite looks with a greige or a black lip. Layers beautifully under glosses and glitters, and over black bases. Waiting for this to come back in stock again so I can repurchase.

    A beautiful smooth red

This makes for a great red one and done look! It can be blended out to have a very smooth transition into the bright red. It also makes for a nice base to put other shadows on top of! I like to use RdF’s brush or a small fluffy brush with it.
