I purchased the shade Moonstone and it's stunning. I love the light pink, purple, lilac shift it has and is extremely versatile to use with other colors and products. It's beautiful on its own but I like to use it with Flora, Garland, Serpent de Mer and even the Celestial Sphere Gelée Eye Gloss shade Noctua. My favorite thing about the Crystalline Matter Eye Soot is the size of the glitter. It's not a chunky glitter but a more refined particle; think grown up glitter. I hope there will be a release of new and old shades in the future because I really need then in my collection.

I was worried this would be a kind of chunky glitter/gel situation where no matter how you apply it, it just looks like....chunks of glitter. (Great if you're going for that, but I rarely am.) To my surprise/delight, there were numerous ways to apply and wear this! When blended out, it almost mimics the Rare Light Creme Highlighter in terms of its shimmer/interaction with light. You absolutely can layer it on for a more pronounced situation, but I LOVE how it looks blended out or blended into/under a gelee. It also works great to create a pop of dimension on the lip. I used it here w Incantation/Viscera and Aranea

I wasn’t able to snag this shade during the first release because I was hesitant about using something with so much glitter, and I’m not great at putting bold shades on my eyes because i’m always scared I will look too “extra”. Moonstone was SO easy to put on and blend. I used my finger to apply each layer, and the only downfall was after the second application of another layer I could not tell if the shadow was transferring to my eyes or just sticking to my finger and perhaps I was just wasting the shadow. I used the extra shadow left on my fingers as a bit of a highlight on my cheeks and it looked awesome! This color is so whimsical, and I felt like it worked great the Black Orb Coal Liner when I applied it on top of the shadow.
