I like to get colors that I can use everyday. This one is great. I don’t deal with creasing and the color looks really nice on me. I would say this is a safe color to buy. Absolutely no regrets.

Half Light is such a versatile color. It's light enough to use as a base and also dark enough to use as a liner (perhaps... PERHAPS --- this is why it is called Half Light. Wow. Imagine having that sort of revelation while writing a review lol). I love pairing it as a liner with Sigil as a base for a simple makeup look. But I also love that I can really smoke it out for a beautiful golden all over look.

This + Sigil are a great smoky nude combo. If you're fair skinned like me, it is easy to go heavy on this product, but it does settle in well. I hope RFD keeps this one! It's a really lovely shade even if you want to do a smokey all-over look.

I initially tried Half Light to round out a sample set that included Mineralia, which was my intended liner shade. Half Light seemed to light to fill that role. I was so wrong! After playing around with my samples, Half Light ended up being one of the two shades I picked for my daily eye look. The other being Sigil. I love how these colors work together with a neutral complexion, walking the line between warm and cool.

I am over 40 and yes it has some shine to it but in a way that is really flattering. I apply it with a finger and then liner and mascara and bam, done! It’s even a perfect shade to contour my cheekbones, because underneath the shiny particles is this super fine smoke-like taupe that is neither cool nor warm and it just. blends. beautifully. I’ve bought several pots for fear of running out. Please NEVER discontinue this color!!

A good primer makes all the difference and a dense brush is your friend. This works well as a one and done shade. You can layer and build to get some structure. It also works well enough as a base shade. It’s not just matte but sheeny.
