update to a glowing review i left just this morning—the gloss rolled off my desk and the neck of the glass component broke clean off under the lid! i really wish it wasn’t glass, as luxe as it makes the gloss feel. it’s a very smooth glass too and rolls easily—i couldn’t catch it with my hand despite trying! i only had it for a couple weeks so this is a huge bummer :(

i took the thorn oil with me on a trip and wore it all the time—hydrating, silky, subtly plumping. i’m glad that i got the colorless one, though, it does move around a bit on me and i wouldn’t want to be trying to color inside the lines so strictly while out and about.
This lip oil is exactly what I was wanting. It's a beautiful cool toned dark purple but still sheer, so if you have pigmented lips it may peek through a bit, but it's a beautiful color. Can be worn on it's own, with a lip liner, or any other way you want. The scent is a ginger, herbal smell. It's strong smelling on the doe foot but fades after a few minutes of wear. The formula is very smooth and not sticky. Thinner formula but plenty of cushion and hydration on the lips. Wears evenly and you can still feel the hydrating residue after the color is gone. I bought Black Thorn and Dark Thorn, and I love them both! As someone with chronically dry lips the dark pigment does settle a tiny bit into my lip lines, but I find most products do that anyway. Lovely product, perfect for fall!
